1. The short version
We collect as little as possible. We don't run user accounts, and we never see or store your payment card details — those go directly to our payment processor.
2. What we collect
- If you use the mail-for-you service: our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment information and email address to complete the charge. We receive order details (what was ordered, amount paid, your email) so we can fulfill and confirm your order. We do not receive your full card number.
- If you contact us: whatever you send (your email address and message).
- Automatic data: like nearly every website, our hosting server logs basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting.
3. How we use it
Only to operate the site: process and fulfill mail-for-you orders, respond to messages, keep the site secure, and understand aggregate traffic. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
4. Cookies
The site may use basic cookies for site functionality and security.
5. Third parties
- Stripe (payment processing): subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
- Amazon (if you click through to buy a gift yourself): subject to Amazon's privacy notice.
- We may disclose information if required by law.
6. Your choices
- Don't want to share anything? You can browse the whole site without buying or contacting us.
- Want something corrected or deleted? Email tellmemore@giftsforcongress.com and we'll handle it.
