1. What this site is
GiftsForCongress.com is a novelty advocacy project. It lets visitors send symbolic gifts — starting with anatomical spine models — to members of the U.S. Congress, either in support of or in protest of their actions. Content on the site, including "Spineless Vote" articles, is political commentary and opinion.
2. The "mail it for you" service
- When you pay for the mail-for-you option, you are hiring us to purchase the gift on your behalf and mail it to the legislator's field office address shown on the site.
- The current price is $88.99 ($69.00 gift + $19.99 shipping & handling), charged through our payment processor at checkout.
- Fulfillment is manual — a real person buys and mails each gift. Please allow reasonable processing time; we do not guarantee delivery by a specific date.
- We mail to the field office address listed on the site, which comes from public records. We are not responsible if an office has moved, refuses delivery, or returns the package.
- If a gift becomes unavailable, we may substitute an equivalent item of equal or greater value, or refund you in full.
- If we cannot fulfill your order for any reason, you will receive a full refund.
- Refund requests for other reasons are handled case by case — contact us at the email above.
Messages and materials
If you ask us to include a message with your gift, or request specific materials: no threats, harassment, or otherwise inappropriate content. Every order is reviewed by a person before anything is mailed. We will refuse any order containing threatening or inappropriate messages or materials and issue a full refund — and credible threats will be referred to law enforcement.
3. Buying gifts yourself
Gift pages also link to third-party retailers (currently Amazon). If you buy through those links:
- The purchase is between you and the retailer, subject to their terms — not ours.
- We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through our links (see our affiliate disclosure on the site).
4. No affiliation or endorsement
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Congress, any legislator, or any government agency. Gifts sent through this site are from private individuals expressing their own views.
5. Acceptable use
- Don't use the site for anything unlawful.
- Don't abuse site features (spam, scraping at abusive rates, attempting to disrupt the site).
- The draft letters and contact links provided on article pages are tools for lawful civic communication. How you use them is your responsibility.
6. Content
Site text, design, and original commentary are ours. You may share and link to our pages freely; please don't republish full articles elsewhere without permission. Legislator names, photos from public archives, and quoted statements belong to their respective sources.
7. Disclaimers and limits
- The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.
- We are not responsible for the actions of legislators, their offices, retailers, shippers, or payment processors.
- To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim related to the site or the mail-for-you service is limited to the amount you paid us.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the site evolves. The current version will always be posted on this page, and continued use of the site means you accept the current terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho.
